WHAT WE PROVIDE: PRE SCHOOL AND DAYCARE
- We provide pre school education at our school campus. The teachers are qualified and experienced in educating and caring for students of a young age
- The playing grounds are spacious enough for children to enjoy and interact with one another under careful watch of the teachers and caretakers.
- We also have a daycare run by the school administration that provides good care both mentally and physically to toddlers and children of such an age.
WHAT WE PROVIDE: PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATION
- We provide Primary level education to children. The teachers are well qualified and have good experience in educating children.
- We have dormitories with matrons who can take care of boarding schooling students. The environment is kept tidy and the food for them is nutritious.
- We also have school buses to transport students to and from their homes. The buses have responsible drivers and are in good condition.
SCHOOL HISTORY
The name ‘’MACHWA’’ was given to the school by us (the founders: Hossea E. Machwa & Mary S. Chaggama) in memorial of our father Elihudi Mshanga Machwa who was born on the 10th April 1922 at Chome, Mphembeni village, Same District, Kilimanjaro Region in Tanzania.
Machwa became a teacher for 30 years from 1947 to 1977 in several schools in Tanzania specifically in Kilimanjaro Region.
During his teaching profession, several students went through his hand. Some of them have become senior civil servants, entrepreneurs, self-employed, successful businessmen, and business women.
In honor of his contribution to the family in particular and the community at large, that is why Machwa Pre and Primary School {under Machwa Education Foundation} has come into existence.
He was also presented with an Honorary Certificate from the Governor of Tanganyika Sir Edward Twining in the year 1953, for his outstanding performance in teaching.
Machwa was married to Minael Elikunda Kivuru in 1948. During their marriage, they were blessed with ten children [six sons and four daughters]. The founder of Machwa School is the ninth born i.e Hossea E.M. Machwa
